New Slang Events Team Applications Now Open
The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne are looking for 15 dedicated and enthusiastic tastemakers aged 15-17 years to lead the organisation and programming of New Slang and become members of our events team in 2020.
New Slang is a monthly, live music series co-presented by The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne. These intimate and exclusive events showcase both touring and local artists to Melbourne’s all-ages audiences.
As a New Slang events team member, you will gain hands on experience, training and networking opportunities in the contemporary music industry, across a range of areas including:
- Stage Management 
- Technical and Sound Production 
- Promotions and Marketing 
- Video Editing and Production 
- Photography 
- Artist Liaison and Bookings 
New Slang events team meetings are fortnightly on Wednesday nights between 5pm and 7pm at The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne.

What are the requirements?
- Be aged between 15 - 17 years old 
- Be able to attend at least 80% of fortnightly New Slang event team meetings (video/teleconference is available for rural and regional members) 
- Be able to attend all New Slang events 
- Be involved as an active participant of the program until October 2020
