The Music Careers Expo is back, taking place across four events in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
Featuring workshops, presentations and information stalls, the Music Careers Expo is a fun and interactive way for you to learn about the various career pathways in music, as well as meet one-on-one with artists, industry practitioners and educators who can provide you with tailored advice.
If you have a passion for Australian music and are keen to pursue a career in the industry, the Music Careers Expo is for you.
Secondary schools across Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria are encouraged to bring student groups to this free, one-day event.

How to get there
Parking
Loading zones and 1P spaces are available in Oxford Street outside Oxford Art Factory, with the exception of 3-7pm Monday to Friday (bus lane restriction). The nearest location for coaches to pick up and drop off attendees is outside the Pullman Hotel on College Street.
Paid parking is available with the closest parking stations approximately a 10 minutes walk from the venue. Wilson Parking is on the corner of Goulburn and Elizabeth Streets and there is a Secure Parking Station on Riley Street.
Public Transport
By Train:
You can catch the T2 train from Central Station, and get off at Museum Station. You will then need to walk approx. 500 meters down Liverpool St to Oxford St
By Bus:
You can catch the 311 or 440 Bus from Central Station located on Eddy Avenue and get off at Oxford St
Food and Drink
No food can be purchased on site
Please BYO Lunch as no food will be available on site. If you would like to purchase food from an outside source, there are a number of fast food outlets, cafes and restaurants available near the venue. Pass outs can be made available if required.

The Music Careers Expo is for young people who are passionate about music. Whether you’re interested in a career on stage or behind the scenes, this event is for you. Parents, guardians, friends, and teachers are also welcome to attend.

+ What can I expect on the day?
Get ready to be inspired and learn about the types of careers that exist within the Australian music industry. You can expect to hear from music industry professionals, participate in interactive workshops, get one-on-one career advice and meet with education and training providers at our expo stalls.
There’ll also be live music to keep you entertained.
+ How much does it cost to attend?
It’s FREE! The Music Careers Expo is a free event, however registrations are essential to secure in your spot.
+ What food is available on the day?
We recommend bringing a packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle as there will not be food available from the venue. There are a number of food outlets, cafes and restaurants available near the venue so please ask The Push staff for passouts if you would like to go and get lunch.
+ How do we register for 1-on-1 and group conversations?
No registration needed! Just head to the area marked on the map at the right time and our friendly event team will connect you with a great person to speak to. These sessions can be popular, so make sure to head there early if you're keen!
+ Where can I find out more about the speakers, workshops, and one-to-one career advice sessions?
Information will be provided on the day, but expect to speak with experienced industry professionals and tertiary educators!
+ I’m a music teacher, can I bring my whole class?
Yes, you may! But please remember that registrations are required before attending.
+ I’m a young person, can I volunteer on the day?
