Music Careers Expo connects young people with insights and info about careers in Australia’s music industry.

A free, one-day event with keynotes, workshops, and one-on-one conversations with people who actually work in the industry.

You’ll hear from people working across the industry (artists, managers, producers, engineers) and have the chance to sit down one-on-one with professionals and educators for advice on your next steps.

FAQ

The Music Careers Expo is for young people aged 15–25 who are curious about working in music — whether that’s performing, producing, working behind the scenes or exploring other roles across the industry. Parents, teachers and friends are also welcome to attend.

Throughout the event you can take part in interactive workshops covering topics like music technology, performing live, releasing music and getting started in the industry.

You’ll also hear from people working across Australian music, watch live performances and take part in small group and one-on-one conversations where you can ask questions and get advice about careers in music.

The Expo Hall is open throughout the day, where you can meet education providers and explore training and study pathways into the industry.

The Music Careers Expo is free to attend, but registration is required to secure your place.

Yes. Teachers and school groups are encouraged to attend. Please register in advance so we can accommodate your group.
