Practical Tools of Event Management (Intermediate)

This workshop will focus on intermediate concepts for event management. Participants will have a greater understanding of the technical skills required to deliver a successful event.

During this two hour workshop, participants will work through the practical elements of event delivery: creating run sheets, understanding contracts and agreements, developing risk assessments and managing event budgets. There is a strong emphasis on accessible programming and communication to ensure events are safe, welcoming and representative.

Whilst completing a workbooklet, participants will understand how to coordinate talent, venues and audiences, as well as tracking income, managing expenses and developing evaluations for post event.

It is recommended, but not essential, to have completed the Introduction To Event Management workshop prior to attending this session.

Support from an experienced Workshop Facilitator

I am so grateful for the new skills I've learn through attending The Push's training workshops!! The guidance and support from the workshop facilitators were incredible, and I've met so many likeminded music lovers. I'm hoping to pursue a career in music - and these sessions have opened a world of creativity for me!

Mia Thompson (Participant)

Facilitating workshops with The Push has been such a highlight for me in my career. I always love getting to connect with young people face-to-face and seeing them engage with the music industry in a real and practical way. It’s really rewarding being able to share experiences and insights, and watching those little moments where something clicks or sparks their passion. For some young it’s also their first time hearing directly from someone working in the industry, which can show that a music industry career is a real, viable and possible pathway.

Jess Healy (The Push, Workshop Facilitator)

The Push have been brilliant to work with! We were so impressed with how the facilitator was able to engage the young people, match their energy and meet the needs of everyone who joined. Making this information accessible and relatable is so important and it was incredible to see the lightbulbs go off and the excitement grow.
