Join our All-Ages Events Team in Mackay, Queensland!

 
 

The Push is looking for 15 dedicated and enthusiastic young people with a passion for music aged 15 – 25 years to lead the delivery of this all-ages event with Great Gable and Kitschen Boy as part of The Reef Trail presented by QLD Music Trails taking place on Saturday 6 July in Mackay.

As a member of The Reef Trail All-Ages Events Team, you will participate in an eight-week training program, with access to hands on experience, skills development and networking opportunities in the contemporary music industry, across a range of areas including stage management, technical and sound production, promotions and marketing, video production, photography, artist liaison and bookings.

+ What are the requirements?

All participants must:

  • Be aged between 15 – 25 years old
  • Be able to attend at least 80% of fortnightly meetings (video/teleconference is available for rural and regional participants) for the duration of the five-week program
  • Be able to attend the All-Ages: The Push presents Great Gable and Kitschen Boy event on Saturday 6 July 20245
  • Be involved as an active participant of the program until June 2024.

While the program is open to all young people in Mackay, Queensland aged 15 – 25, priority access will be given to:

  • First Nations young people
  • Young people of colour
  • Young people from low-income households
  • Young women
  • Non-binary young people
  • Young people with a disability
  • LGBTQIA+ young people

+ What will I gain from participating in this program?

+ How much does the program cost?

Participation in the program is free.

The Push offers financial subsidies for internet access and travel expenses to participants who may be experiencing financial hardship.
