WE HAVE A WINNER (well three actually!)
Push Over was a great day and the FReeZA Push Start Grand Final cracked up to all that we had hoped for. All nine bands performed really well with some stand-out performances and stage antics peppered throughout the day. So, without further adieu...
The judges of the FReeZA Push Start Grand Final awarded Neon Love as the winner. The five lads are from Ballarat and play Disco Pop Punk in tight jeans and sunglasses. A great live show.

Also taking away some prizes on the day was The Strydes, who the judges awarded second place. For their efforts, they picked up a great electric guitar thanks to Cutting Edge Music. Originally from Warrnambool, the lads have taken the plunge and moved to Melbourne to pursue music. You could describe their stuff as Dirty Blues Rock. Congratulations guys.

APRA generously supports FReeZA Push Start and part of that is the 'APRA Award for Songwriting'. This year, the judges awarded it to Yelka Ishmakovich. She has such a beautiful voice, an extremely charming personality and an unassumming and warm stage presence. Congratulations Yelka. For her efforts she received a pack of music industry books and a certificate.

There ends the FReeZA Push Start 07-08 series. Thank you to all participating bands/artists, all FReeZA workers and all members of FReeZA committees. It has been a great year of growth for the competition and we have found some incredible talent all across the state. Stay tuned for updates on the 08-09 series.
